Hands-on Workshop on “Communication Intelligence: How to Speak So People Listen” 

A full-day, practice-oriented workshop on “Communication Intelligence: How to Speak So People Listen” was conducted as part of the School of Computer Studies’ academic enrichment initiatives. The workshop focused on strengthening students’ communication capabilities through hands-on speaking exercises, structured guidance, and real-time feedback. 

 

 

The resource person provided practical demonstrations and guided activities on: 

  • Principles of communication intelligence: clarity, conciseness, and message connection. 
  • Voice modulation techniques, including tone, pace, and pitch for effective delivery. 
  • Use of body language to enhance engagement and message retention. 
  • Overcoming communication barriers and managing audience dynamics. 
  • Active listening strategies to improve interactions and responses. 

Students participated in live speaking drills, individual feedback sessions, and confidence-building activities designed to simulate real communication scenarios. This experiential approach significantly enhanced their public speaking and interpersonal communication skills.
